EngineThe stock 2003 Viper V10 motor puts out 500 brake horsepower (370 kilowatts) and 525 ft·lbf (712 N·m). HPE increases the output to about 1050 hp (the rear wheels receive 983.5[3] brake horsepower (733 kilowatts)) and 1,100 ft·lbf (1,490 N·m) ( rear wheels receive 981 foot pounds (1329 newton meters)) of torque with the following modifications:
Engine displacement is increased via stroking to 522 CID (8.55 l) and the compression is lowered to 9.0:1 compression ratio
